What say you? I think Rajaat would have a hard time 'finding' any of those wizards named, or crossing into another campaign world (if he could cross he would have likely took his cleansing wars to other worlds also) |

Rajaat was only interested in purging the planet from races spawned during Rebirth in order to return Athas to its Blue Age. The rest of the multiverse would be beyond his concern. |

| #7ZardnaarFeb 22, 2009 12:32:20 | The most powerful of the Netherise Archwizards (specifically Karsus and Ioulaum) may be able to match him. Otherwise can't think of any others. |
| #8jimthegrayMar 01, 2009 10:40:13 | The most powerful of the Netherise Archwizards (specifically Karsus and Ioulaum) may be able to match him. Otherwise can't think of any others. yeah he is basically demi god level |
| #9phoenix_mMar 01, 2009 11:11:55 | yeah he is basically demi god level ![]() Not aimed at you Jim, you just made me think of this. Why do we never hear about a near-demi-god-level fighter? Or rogue? Or cleric? It's always all about the wizard or various wizards that you hear about being the world’s über character, campaign defining personality. I want to see a Hyboria D&D campaign world. One barbarian, one relic-level sword and a long line of dead/conquered nations behind him. :D |
| #10PennarinMar 01, 2009 14:17:41 | In stories (novels, etc) the warrior gets blasted to death by the templar or sorcerer's lighting bolt. In the game (D&D) the rules meddle with this perfect (aha!) litterary world by saying fighters are as tough as spellcasters and would't die from being blasted. There's good storytelling, then there's good gaming. |
| #11phoenix_mMar 02, 2009 17:02:15 | Yeah but what about a fight between Rikus and Caramon Majere - you never hear about those threads ;) - - - - Yeah, I know who wants to watch amateur boxing when you have two guys throwing lightning bolts back and forth at each other in the next room... |
| #12ZardnaarMar 02, 2009 22:50:46 | Rajaat was more of a plot device IMHO. He has less personality than Raistlin/Karsus/Elminster etc etc/ |
| #13redkingMar 03, 2009 0:21:46 | Yeah but what about a fight between Rikus and Caramon Majere - you never hear about those threads ;) Actually, that is a good comparison. Caramon also had a stint as a gladiator. Still, I reckon that Rikus would beat him. You seen Rikus on the cover of the Crimson Legion? He looks hardcore! |
| #14ZardnaarMar 08, 2009 6:05:57 | In game terms Rikus should beat Caramon. IIRC he is higher level and stronger as well. |
