Okay, so who are they?  And how much influence do they exert on the world of Athas?  I've got the DS Campaign Guide and Creature Catalog, and I'm not finding anything.

Any thoughts?

The Silt Kraken (Ul-Athra) is a primoridal according to Marauders of the Dune Sea.

I'm assuming you can use any primordial in print right now for dark sun. Dark sun also has a primordial of fire living in a volcano that I believe halflings or goliaths drop sacrifices into to keep it happy. My books are put away as I'm about to crash out for the night, but I know the setting talks about at least two. The volcano primordial and the silt krakken.

Stats might end up in dungeon, eventually.

I'd imagine primordials are largely like they are in the  rest of 4th, massive, usually elemental, beings that don't really give a care about mortals. There's probably a few that those mentioned above that simply terrorize or feed on mortals as some sense of victory over the gods.

The primordials are basically winning. They've defeated the gods and the elemental chaos is bleeding through in uncivilized areas.

The rest of the world outside of Athas could just be a playground for primordials, with the Dragon of Tyr keeping them away from the city-state region.

The Primordials could be slaves of Rajaat or even his "Elemental" Champions, designed to destroy the false gods, who were once mortals that gained immortality through the worship of the psi attuned athasians.

According to the DSCG, the primoridals destroyed the gods before Rajaat rose to power. In fact, the destruction of the gods is what made Arcane magic, and Rajaat's power, possible.

You shouldn't believe the propaganda of the elemental priests!

Thanks for the replies, everyone.

So, if I'm hearing correctly, it hasn't been explicitly stated who the primordials of Athas are, aside from references to the Smoking Crown and Marauders of the Dune Sea.

So, I guess we wait and find out, or make it up as we go?
