| #2jon_oracle_of_athasMay 14, 2007 15:56:36 | Actually, Bruno, what I meant was that I will only post the project status messages (% completion) on the athas.org site. They will be updated once a week at most. We will still post releases and other important anouncements here on the boards as well. |
| #3kalthandrixMay 14, 2007 19:00:32 | So what Jon meant to say, but must have forgotten, was "Back in your cage!!!!!!" :P |
| #4jon_oracle_of_athasMay 16, 2007 1:16:39 | Back in your cage - Kal. ;) |
| #5kalthandrixMay 16, 2007 6:56:05 | Back in your cage - Kal. ;) See...who's the oracle now? Damn I'm good! |
| #6jon_oracle_of_athasMay 16, 2007 16:27:00 | Sticking feathers up your b*** does not make you a chicken. Self-induced prophecies do not make you an oracle. |
| #7lastardMay 16, 2007 16:36:41 | Can't wait till all this stuff is out! :D Lastard :bounce: |
| #8cnahumckMay 16, 2007 16:51:18 | Sticking feathers up your b*** does not make you a chicken. Nothing like a good fight club reference |
| #9jon_oracle_of_athasMay 16, 2007 18:14:47 | I was hoping someone would catch that quote. Good to see you back online, Lastard. Cool gig! |

| #15GrummoreMay 22, 2007 20:31:32 | Well, this is most appreciated. Thanks. I really like to know just how progress the projects. They might not have end date but it's something that will facinate and interest peoples. It keeps them aware somethign is happening! Thanks again. |

| #20ishan_whDec 17, 2007 11:16:31 | Hi are there any news on Urik and its NPC? Is there gonna be a Just Plain Pavek NPC hehe |
| #21GrummoreDec 18, 2007 8:44:13 | In your list of projects, I do not see the Terrors of Athas. When can we hope to see this product updated? I know there have been a lot of work and it was suppose to be out in the summer (if I remember well). On the official page, we only have this : Terrors of Athas (version 0.9, Released 2004 February 27) version of the ToA. When can we hope to see the new document and when can we hope to see the document WITH pictures made by DS artist (I'm thinking of Mike Fleming here that made a LOT job)? Maybe at least link us the pdf with no pictures. What's up with that? Thanks! |
| #22KamelionDec 18, 2007 11:26:31 | In your list of projects, I do not see the Terrors of Athas. It would be nice to see the revised ToA released to the community before 4e explodes onto the scene next year. There were indeed plenty of revisions to the stat blocks since the last release, some new monsters, and, of course, the artwork. When I retired a while back and handed over ToA, there was also still a small amount of revision to be done before it was 100% ready. It's such a big document, though, that redoing the layout alone would be a serious undertaking and I can easily imagine that resources for such a project would be hard to organise. Plus it was all in the old stat-block format. I can think of few things more horrifying than updating all of that to the new stat-block! So while I agree with Grumm that a revised release would be nice, I'd be the first in line to say I understand why it might not be immediately forthcoming . |
| #23GrummoreDec 20, 2007 11:47:56 | Knock Knock at the Athas.org door! |
| #24GrummoreMay 02, 2008 11:37:01 | Time for a little update on what you are doing and what's about to be done... or not! Thanks! |
| #25cnahumckMay 02, 2008 12:24:21 | Well, I know what I am working on, and what Bruno is working on. We are trying to finish things for a final version of both LoA (with more epic spells and powers, a few more epic PrCs that aren't ABs, more Epic NPCs (like the SKs and such)) Finally within LoA I want to write up a chapter on how to modify the Epic Characters to fit your campaign. athas.org only uses SRD material and it's own material when developing its characters. This can put a DM at a disadvantage against a TOB using PC who is incorperating 15 splat books. While I cannot use them in this Chapter, I can reference them. And, I will be "Enhancing" an NPC to show you what I did to them and how they function in my campaign to show you how you can do this for yours. Also, Bruno is doing work on r7, which should be the final release of 3.5 rules, since there are those fans who wanted it, and it would be good to have a final release of the rules so that those not making the 4E switch have good stuff to work with. Bruno's work is... impressive. |
| #26GrummoreMay 02, 2008 14:31:05 | Since it's going to be the last release, can we hope for pictures? ![]() |
| #27cnahumckMay 02, 2008 15:33:57 | Since it's going to be the last release, can we hope for pictures? /casts summon vegan brazilian IX/ Bruno? |
| #28Band2May 07, 2008 11:41:21 | Any chance of an update to the project list on Athas.org? It has been a while since that was updated. |
| #29brun01May 07, 2008 12:08:36 | /casts summon vegan brazilian IX/ Damn US dimensional lock was kepting me from replying... I am back from Hotlanta and free again! :D I will try to do an update this week. Yes Grummore, r7 will have some pictures. Not as many as I'd like, since volunteer artists are extremely hard to find. |
| #30phoenix_mMay 07, 2008 18:52:00 | What do art you need brun01? Have you talked to the owner of THIS site, though he might be affililated with Athas.org already. |
| #31GrummoreMay 08, 2008 9:24:29 | It's the guy that made pictures for ToA. If eventually ToA get a finished version with pictures... I hope that you are going to finish all your 3.5 product before you start working on 4th ed. |
| #32brun01May 08, 2008 10:25:28 | What do art you need brun01? Have you talked to the owner of THIS site, though he might be affililated with Athas.org already. I need illustrations of weapons, classes, PC races, maps, spells, everything that is not a monster, basically. |
| #33GrummoreMay 08, 2008 13:26:44 | And what about ToA "with" pictures? |
| #34brun01May 08, 2008 13:30:37 | I really can't have any more projects right now. Unless someone else steps up, I don't think we'll ever have another version of ToA released. |
| #35cnahumckMay 08, 2008 13:36:05 | Yeah... What he said... |
| #36GrummoreMay 08, 2008 15:38:20 | I really can't have any more projects right now. Unless someone else steps up, I don't think we'll ever have another version of ToA released. Give it to me, it will take the time it will take, but I will put the pictures inside that PDF. If I'm right, you have more pictures than those from dawnstealer? hum? |
| #37cnahumckMay 08, 2008 16:33:17 | Part of updating ToA was putting it into the new format, which it isn't. That is a lot of tedious work. |
| #38GrummoreMay 09, 2008 7:59:04 | Part of updating ToA was putting it into the new format, which it isn't. That is a lot of tedious work. You tell me what I have to do and even if it takes time I will do it. |
| #39cnahumckMay 09, 2008 9:44:16 | You tell me what I have to do and even if it takes time I will do it. Looks like we have someone Bruno. I think that Bruno is great at explaining the MMIV format. He's the one that helped me get it. I'll try to find stuff that explains it, but that may take a while. |
| #40GrummoreMay 09, 2008 10:55:28 | Looks like we have someone Bruno. MMIV format... hum... After a little research I think I begin to understand what you meant about changing file format. It's not about the file itself, it's about the way the monsters are written that need to be changed. It begin to be less interesting! :D Tedious work if it's what I think. Anyway, give me the smell and I will tell you if I can hold my breath long enough to finish this ;) |
| #41brun01May 09, 2008 16:37:28 | You tell me what I have to do and even if it takes time I will do it. I will pass your request along to the templarate. |
| #42brun01May 09, 2008 16:40:42 | MMIV format... hum... After a little research I think I begin to understand what you meant about changing file format. It's not about the file itself, it's about the way the monsters are written that need to be changed. Updating to the MM IV format would require an effort almost as big as creating the 3.5 ToA. I don't think it's even possible to dream it happening with 4e release so near. I would be glad just to have revised ACs, CRs and the art into the doc. |
| #43ishan_whMay 09, 2008 16:46:39 | Hello people, I was wandering are there any news on Urik and its main NPC´s. I have his thread and there I got several Urik NPC´s I think the most important one is Severin Cpt of Urik Guard Well... hope to hear something from Urik... some gossip would be good Thanks, keep up with the good work |

Well friend, I seriously do not mind about the new creatures format. It doesnt really change a thing when playing. Get it out that way with pictures and peoples will be veeeeerrrrryyyyy happy! ![]() |
| #45jon_oracle_of_athasMay 11, 2008 5:19:53 | Grum, thanks for volunteering to put the images in Terrors of Athas. We'll get back to you shortly. |

| #47GrummoreMay 14, 2008 7:14:12 | Check your e-mail, my Canadian friend. I did. ![]() |
| #48angelofthenightMay 15, 2008 20:43:39 | I've applied to playtest already but I'd be happy to help with Secrets of the Dead Lands or really any other supplement that uses 3.5 as I'll not be switching over to 4E. My group is playing Dark Sun right now so its easy enough to playtest stuff. PM me if you want my humble talents:P. |
| #49grimorgMay 18, 2008 11:48:33 | And what about City-State of Balic? Thanks |
| #50brun01May 18, 2008 13:34:31 | Project status update posted on athas.org website. |
