Hello everybody,

As the topic mentioned, I’ve just decided to return to the Dark Sun campaign setting after a long break. I have two major questions as of right now:

1. I have not played DnD since 2nd edition, but the remake of Dark Sun for 3.5 looks promising. Which books are must-haves for a DS campaign? Any other general tips for tackling the changes from version 2 to 3.5?

2. I am planning to run the "Freedom" campaign which I just got a hold of. Any tips for running that campaign, or suggestions to scenarios you an run simultaneously?

Looking forward to hear your responses!

PS. I read an article or post somewhere recently where a person compared the city-states to real-world cities... It was something like Balic being like Athens, Draj being Tenochtitlan, but I can't remember the other comparisons... Any help?
