Revised Setting: Art on DM Screen

I always wonder what are the monsters (a kind of giant serpents and giant bees) represented on the DM Sreen of the DS Revised Setting. Are they typical monsters of the DS setting or generic ones?

And which are the people involved?

Any suggestion? Clues? Thanks in advance!

Jan 05, 2009 18:58:34 		The giant wasps are jalath'gak, originall appearing in Thri-Kreen of Athas (or in the Sep '92 issue of Dragon - can't recall which came first). The giant serpents were never statted up in 2e, but Grummore came up with stats and a name (slimahacc) for them - they're in Terrors of Athas along with the jalath'gak.

I've always figured that the lizard people are pterrans. Their outrageous hats are probably hiding their crests, and their ability to speak with reptiles makes them a good choice for slimahacc riders ;)...
