| #1quoinAug 15, 2010 4:54:41 | The Dark Sun Campaign Setting book lists a few new modes of transportation, two of which are vehicles. The Sand Skiff is listed as being 2x3 squares, and the Silt Skimmer is 5x10. It'd be neat to see some figs or something buildable for these, like the wagon in the recent tileset, or like they have for the star wars desert skiffs. Hell, I'd even be happy with some decent pictures of them, so I could make my own for figs on our maps. There's not a lot to go on, besides the description. I think there's one picture of a skiff, towards the back of the book, but nothing really inspiring, |

In 2e Androponis' entire military fleet was psionic-powered, and IIRC the Dragon might have had a few in his pocket as well, for launching war campaigns involving his armies and Dead Lords. |

No, they still mention silt schooners...in the Balic section. So, schooners are still around but entirely unique to Balic. In my campaign, schooners are more common amongst the wealthy, including merchant houses. Balic has the largest fleet, but not the only fleet. Skimmers are for the poorer, who cannot afford to rely on an expensive psionic navigation orb and the appropriately-trained folks to go along. |

| #11PennarinAug 19, 2010 21:39:28 | I see they call them dromonds, not shooners, and they mention they are psionically-powered and hover above the silt. |
