Can anyone tell me what the other kinds were like and how come there not in the creature book? |

Can anyone tell me what the other kinds were like and how come there not in the creature book? Athas.com has a creature catalog for 3.5 that's a great reference to use for 4e, as to why they didn't do the same for 4e I'd say space or budget constraints. They left plenty of tools in the back of the catalog and DMG's to flesh out your own. With the way the elements are so prominent and corrupted in this edition, use the elemental flavors for different horrors would be an easy and fun way to go. |

So they went with Silt Horrors and decided to do all the colors, which wasn't the best idea IMO. I never used them like that, my parties never encountered enough to differentiate. As Xsv suggested, in my DS game I'm tying them to the "para-elements", or the primordials. Although there wont be any SUn, Rain, or Magma silt horrors....they'll be SILT or maybe a little smart and have some defiling powers. |
