[SITE] The Siltskimmer Page owner have a important question

I'm Sébastien Gamache aka Grummore. I've been owning a website named the Siltskimmer Page for since 1996 (14 years now!).

www.siltskimmer.org

At first, it was .net, but when I changed my internet provider, they kept it for themselves so I got myself a .org. (wtf, who would want a domain name like that else than for Darksun hey?)

It's been actually 5 years since not much happened. I am lacking time to update and lacking time to create new things. BUT it doesnt mean I am not interested anymore. I still play RPG with my friends (an am near 37 year old with a second child in 2 weeks!).

I am still interested in keeping my web site up and running. I've been the lighthouse of Darksun links for a long time and I've been paying to have a such a website and domain name for a long time.

NOW, here is the question:

Would anybody here be interested in helping revamp the site to 2010 standard (doing it for me oooor for us continue reading), help in updating it, help in putting new content to it (if possible) and having a domain name and server PAID by me?

I seriously am needing someone that is interested in Darksun, interested in having a website, interested in updating it, someone mature and trustworthy, someone that would be happy to help me with that because I dont mind paying to keep it up and running (I've been doing it for the last 5 years without doing much to it).

I know there are many web site over here and new too. I am looking for partnership to keep the siltskimmer.net online and healthy.

Does anybody here sound interested?

Sep 16, 2010 8:22:51 I'd offer my help if I knew anything about html or whatever is require to maintain a website. I'd be willing to offer my help in non-programming areas. I cannot dedicate massive amounts of time, but I could spare a few hours each week.

Sep 16, 2010 10:27:56 I could probably provide some written content (short stories and such). I can also do English translations of some of the material you currently have only in French, such as Uyness' journal. But, like Duke5150, I have no knowledge of HTML or of website maintenance.

Sep 20, 2010 9:29:14 Many cool sites are in fact based on a blogging framework, reskinned to look more interactive like a regular website. Many sites offer this framework to their customers but do not provide a unique address for each. I believe there is a way to import the framework, which would be open content, into a unique address.

There'd be little to no coding requirement past setting up the framework with the IP address and stuff. Afterwards you load it up like a Facebook page, or a blog, or a Wiki, with relevant content. Someone can show you how to have an image in the background.
