A 20 year old girl by the name of Phatma (Fat-ma) is rescued by the players. She is soon claimed by a Templar and not heard from for many games.. then a reference is found later to Kalak having had a daughter and hide her within his most trusted Templars. During the Kings slaying most of those Templars were killed or fled the city, but a few remained. They discover more information a couple games after that which lead them to believe that Phatma is that girl and some of the Templars are preparing her to take Tithians place. They find her and discover that it is all true, and she seems to be very kind and afraid of discovery. The Veiled alliance wants her dead because they believe she has to be evil since she was born to such a tyrant, those loyal to Tithian want her dead because she threatens their place in the new regime. The only good news is that very few know of her existance. One of the players is her love interest and one of the players is a member of the veiled Alliance. This has even caused tention within the group. I have always portrayed her as this kind normal girl and still the party is devided 50/50 what to do about their knowledge. As a DM I have several option; Keep her like I have her and the Templars just using her to get new rule( that Templars have more power in), She is really mroe like her father and has just been putting on an act, or some other crazy thing idea like it is really just a templars daughter that is being made to believe the story that is being spread around so that Templar can get himself in power. As my players have just reached Paragon they have found themselves doing work for Templars, in the kings name of course, rather than just merchants and normal caravan guarding and stuff. Working around them so much they are deeply involved in trying to get a feel for who are the good guys and who are the bad guys, which makes this whole scenario very interesting. Anyone thinking of something cool that I may be over looking? |

I don't know if you could do this, but maybe give her a noble goal that has an immoral means. Other Ideas which are less cool than what you have right now:
