One feat that cought my eye was "Tarandan Method". WotC changed all of their +2 DC raising feats to a caster level adjustment for arcane casters when they we to 3.5 ed. Should this feat do something similar and raise the manifester level for the given discipline allowing more power points to be spent? Otherwise, the feat just looks to good... from a min/max perspective I can't imagine not taking this feat playing a Psion (especially a Telepath, save or die). "Elemental Manifestation" on the otherhand looks fine as its scope is narrower than an entire discipline, requires Cleric levels & probably will only apply to damage dealing powers. Of course, back in 3.0 ed. I never thought +2 DC was unbalancing for Wizards so I may be off base. It just looks like the Psion might outclass the Defiler in the current version. I think that pushes against the original vision of Athas. Of course I like to only have elemental Clerics, "The" Dragon & the original city states... so maybe I'm trying to be overly purist! Thanks, for reading my ramblings. |
