| #2LustSwordsingerMay 10, 2013 2:35:06 | i would rule against it, as turning undead is a decidedly Divine power, and as there are no gods on athas, no divine magic. however, if you are using gods in your campaign, then i would say its not outside the realm of possibility to make a divine templar. |

Cook up a decent way to explain it and it shouldn't be an issue. If you're not the DM, do be sure to get their OK on it though. Happy Gaming ![]() |

That you mention 2nd ed. brings up this excerpt from the 2e Dark Sun rule book - "Templars have power over undead, but only to raise or ally with them, never to turn them away." |
| #5Raddu76May 11, 2013 9:37:22 | Squidfur has it. In 2nd edition they could control undead. I always liked that aspect of them and was sort of bummed it wasn't in the 4e rules. The idea of Necromant Templars was cool. Sure you could make them wizards/warlocks in 4e, but for some reason just didn't have the same feel. |
