#1 sir_sparhawk Jun 18, 2010 17:05:04	I'm a huge fan of anything that has to do with Tharizdun.  The Chained God in my opinion is the most fascinating diety ever created in D&D lore.  So with that being said, I'll get started. In this little realm we call Dark Sun, the Primordials defeated the Gods back in the day.  As far as I know, it's their one victory and we see what they do to planets when they win.  Kind of like what the Arabs do to the Middle-East but that's off topic.  What we all know is that in the realm of Greyhawk, Tharizdun has tricked the Primordial Princes in believing "The Elemental Eye" was the first of the primordials.  His cult has failed for an untold amount of time on Oearth, but his presence is felt across all realms. This takes me to Athas where the Primordials are in control so to speak.  There may be no Gods on Athas, but the Chained One can still reach it through his manifestation of "The Elemental Eye."  I think Athas would be ripe with corruptable minds and none would know any better as to what was happening.  The Veiled Alliance would be especially susceptable to his greater "Elemental" power.  He could be seen as the elements striking back at what the defilers and sorcerer kings have done to Athas.  Seeking to unleash his power upon them to take the world back to a better place, all the while not knowing they're working to release the insane God to end existence. Just something I was thinking about while reading the lore on Imix in the MM3.  Does it work?  I don't know, but it could be an interesting twist for a Templar campaign to unravel it's mysteries.
