#1 AzurecobaltX Aug 23, 2010 10:55:42	I'm aware that the 4E setting begins after the fall of King Kalak in Tyr. That makes sense from a setting point of view (as the developers have said, why describe the city with Kalak in control, then make that setting information useless shortly thereafter by having him fall). That being said, I think the fall of Kalak would be an exciting opportunity for adventure and intrigue in Tyr. Are there any places to find out what happened in Tyr during the fall of Kalak? I'd imagine there'd be rioting and looting in the streets in the ensuing power vacuum, conflicts between newly-freed slaves and unhappy masters, Templars trying to keep control, soldiers clashing with rioters, etc., etc. Anyone have any ideas or sources with "official" events that occurred? Thanks!
#2 xlorep_darkhelm Aug 23, 2010 11:13:48	The 2E details are covered in the book series called "The Prism Pentad", as well as the 2E adventure "Freedom" somewhat details how Kalak fell, and the 2E book called "City-State of Tyr" details what Tyr was like after Kalak's death (and the 2E Revised Campaign Setting books). However, it is somewhat disappointing, especially with your ideas you proposed -- I'd recommend just running with and expanding upon your ideas a bit, and create your own ideal of how Tyr was was impacted by Kalak's fall.

I think that is why they left alot of the history out of the book. So that DM's can make their Athas the way they want it. My Dark Sun campaign (which starts this wednesday) will take place before the Fall of Kalak. In fact, I am even debating whether there will be a fall of Kalak.
