The Island of Waverly - History?

Nov 25, 2011 17:24:58 So I have a group of players that are striking out for waverly. The details of how they are getting there and why are not important right now.

What I want to find out is what sort of history has been written about the island. What went on there. Why is the island deserted, or is it?

Nov 27, 2011 8:56:38 It was supposedly the birthplace of one of the female SKs (Ablach-Re?) IIRC.

Nov 27, 2011 10:17:20 Uyness of Waverly iirc. i may be mixing abit of Bodach history as well, but i seem to recall reading Waverly was a decent sized city, friendly to mages. at the rise of defilers, was one of the first places to defend Preserver magic.

i know that mirrors Bodach history; which also then goes on to be one of the last bastions of preservers, and site of one of the last massive mage wars. (covering my tracks in case im wrong ;))

now where the heck do i remember that Waverly bit from...

From the descript, it sounds like Waverly was just like the Disney version. And maybe Uyness = Selena Gomez? She'd have to be to date the Biebs. Methinks she betrayed Waverly and cursed the citizens with Bieber Fever. :P

Nov 27, 2011 19:24:52 I remember reading in a time-line somewhere that the city if waverly was swallowed by the silt sea as it expanded, but later re-emerged when the silt drew back from it. So thats probebly why it was abandoned, and any that stayed where suffocated in Silt. Im also interested in more info on Waverly since I have been thinking of sending my players there eventually.
