It looks pretty snazzy (I like the role and power source specification), but I expected more power options at each level. It does look like only one power is granted, and that you select the other instead of your class powers at the appropriate level? The powers, as suspected, say "Primary ability vs. (defense)" |

I remember reading somewhere (or hearing, maybe, from a podcast) that the themes can be used to heavily flavor a character, but they didn't want to make it provide so much that you completely gut your class and replace it with a new one. |

| #5jrwoodchuckJul 03, 2010 6:33:18 | Well I guess I could be happy with a paragon path. I like feats more then powers. Powers, at least in my games, don't really help define the role of the character because so many of them are the same. Feats though can truly showcase the difference between roles, and now hopefully themes. If though there is no feat support but paragon path support, that could workout the way i'd like. The other bit of news i'm really interested in is defileing. Defileing cant be relegated to an encounter power. There has to be something more, a paragon path, some feats that add to it, perhaps a hidden theme they haven't told anyone yet? |

A little off-topic, but considering that having a Spellscar is "decide to have one... or not" option, and it has incredible feat/paragon path/theme-esque support, I imagine defiling will have the same. After all, what will be the prereq for the Dragon King Epic Destiny if there's no way to enhance your defiling? |

There has to be something more, a paragon path, some feats that add to it, perhaps a hidden theme they haven't told anyone yet? Patience is a virtue. I'm guessing that there would be potentially feats, paragon paths, and of course an epic destiny that would all help enhance the defiler position in the setting. |
