Ok had a funny turn on the last game session.  The party lost 2 characters in one fight and lost the third in the second fight.  Now normally this wouldn't be an issue but one of the characters was a noble in Tyr.  Trying to make this short it goes like this:

Half-giant NPC decided to go up against Kalak orders, as he threw 2 nobles in the slave pits.  The nobles died and the half-giant become a noble.  The Half-giant couldn't even tell his left from his right so he bestowed, legally, his noble rank to our Half-giant sorcerer.  Now that all but the my assassin is left of the original party, he probably has taken over as a noble in Tyr.

Now true to the way I have this character set up, he could possibly care less, except the money involved on being a noble.  The only thing he might do is take his noble house and make it into an assassin guild of some sort.  Had the idea of getting orphans trained in various NPC rolls and basically trying to take over major parts of the city.  It is either that or just let the noble house run itself and just try to increase holdings.

Would love to hear some ideas.  Not to worried about setting up defenses right now, Kalak's fall pretty much looted most of the city so I have nothing to really lose.  I do have land though.

One other thing, can someone tell me what type of house setup in this enviroment I would have for a noble person.  I would assume some time of brick, 2 or 3 story, monstrosity but would it be more like a square with a open center or a "u" shape?  No ideas on what it would look like are coming to me.  I like details like that for some odd reason.

Sounds like somebody played freedom. I let my PC's get land as well and set it up as a noble plantation they are now making wine. However they do plan on getting into trade all they need to do is take by force and legally a merchant house outpost. The other houses might oppose but when you have the backing of the king you cant do much. Most of the buildings in Tyr are single to Two story adobe structures. For my noble he lives outside the city and his villa is ranch style.

We did play Freedom.  I'm assuming, as nobles, that the land is producing some product that the city of Tyr needs.  Right now I'm going to funnel some extra money into the land to produce more workers and product.  Still think a secret training facility of some sort would be a neat idea.  Even it keeps me even on money, I'll be happy to have the extra NPC characters to do jobs for me.  I want an army for some reason.
