Specifically, what garb do the templar wear in different city-states. I have my ideas, but I want to hear what other people have arrived at as well as any official sources.
Draji templars wear bluish robes with a bright yellow moon on the front and back. Moon decorations on armor and jewels are common, and stuff like that is blue or black.
Gulgite templars wear tight necklaces around their neck according to their rank - one necklace, low rank; 10 necklaces that stretch your neck, advisor of the Oba herself.
Nibenese templars wear black, when they wear clothes. Their armor tends to be made from black shells of giant insects.
Raamite templars, when it is safe to dress as a templar, wear white robes (usually with armor, just in case), with the symbol of the false god Badna in the center.
Urikite templars weat leather armor laced with bone or chitin. High ranking templars might wear metal armor. They also sometimes wear brown, white, or yellow robes, from lowest rank to highest, if I remember correctly.
The 2e book on Templars (and elemental priests and druids) doesn't really say how Balicite templars dress. I guess the templars of Andropinis just dress like rich people. Drawing from earth's history, maybe they could have white togas with a dark purple trim.

I did more or less the same for my Balic Templars in our first game; I had them in white togas, and helms with a crimson mohawk. I like the purple trim idea, I'll have to retcon that in.

Urik Templars are often described as "yellow coats" (or something like that) due to their bright tunics - or at least the visible Templars are as such. Pavek was always talking about his yellow coat.
ETA: Gulgite templars (nganga) are described as never going out in public without either a "fearsome wooden mask" or with their face painted to resemble a skull or some sort of terrifying monster.

It's symbolic of the nganga being no longer considered quite 'human'. The individual who became a nganga is regarded by his kin to have 'died' (they hold a funeral etc.) and the templar he/she becomes is no longer the same person, but a dark phantom that comes in the night to make you disappear (for the good of the city-state and the Oba, of course).
Incidentally, I can imagine a nganga with an Inlé-rah mask. The animated film portrayal of Inlé-rah absolutely terrified me as a kid.

The Black Rabbit of Inle used to scare me as well, but not as much as Woundwort.
I'm 34 and that film and book still make me cry, even if it's a little less scary than when I was young.
I never read Dark Sun novels, and I'm not informed on the pre-4e official timeline, but I came to udnerstand that the timeline had advanced quite a little in the past and that Dregoth and Giustenal arose again as a power to be reckoned with.

More or less. Borys' are undead though and Dregoth's are either dray or undead I think... sorry, I'm not a Guistenal/Dregoth expert
