So there is most likely going to be a Dark Sun 5e book some time in the future. What would you guys like to see?

for me, Psionic classes and Really good backgrounds. But I would like to see Dark Sun advance in years. Because it seems like going back to tyr rebellion was a big reset button on the setting. What do you think?

I fell in love with DS in 2e, and I also loved it in 4e.

I would like to see a timeline neutral 'sandbox' (heheh) approach to the setting. Multiple pages talking about when you can start, and also mentioning you can ignore canon alltogether if you want to.

But yeah, I want a simple, solid psionics system.

Unique athesian backgrounds.

A dual approach to races like thri-kreen and half-giant. One 2e-esque, and unbalanced as **** (ie: half-giants getting +4 to STR, Kreen getting natural armor, multi-attack, and poison bites, etc.), and another more 4e-esque and balanced well with existing races. Muls are balanced already, IMO. That way, you can pick what you want to DM or play.

I also want a solid approach to Athesian weapons and gear. Again, with options as to how 'breakable' you want everything. I liked how 4e did that too. They just made metal magical instead of imposing penalties on non-metal stuff. I'd much prefer a steel dagger being +1 or better than an obsidian or bone dagger being -1 or -2. Another thing I'd like is a detailed description of Athesian items, 'potions', drugs, poisons, living seige engines, and all that awesome unique stuff. (Check Athas.org. They did it right for 3e...Lots of long, and free!, pdfs of items, monsters, fluff, and crunch.)

I also want some new art that sticks with the tradition of Gerald Brom's awesome visualizations of Athas, yet pushes it further into more 21st century aesthetics.

If they do setting boxed sets, I hope they don't half ass them. I want at least 300 pages (combined) and fold out maps. A setting perfect bound book, and a monster perfect bound book.

DS needs its own MM too, if they do it as a setting hard cover. I don't want just one hardcover...and thats it.

Some published adventures would be good too. Not all of us want to run pre-made adventures set in the Forgettable Realms.
