Hey there

I just have a question regarding the changes from 2nd ed. to 3.5.

In 2nd, every player on Athas had a small psioniv talent, or power as I recall.
However, in 3.5 I don't see this anymore. Have any of you made houserules or the like for implementing this talent?
I was considering myself to give every player a small power pool dependent on wisdom, and then 1, perhaps 2 powers. The real psionics would then get a bonus to their power score and/or number of powers.
Any ideas if this would make the characters imbalanced?

Looking forward t hearing your answers!

Wild talents -- Psionic ability without levels in Psionics -- are represented in 3.5 by a sequence of Feats, the first of which can actually be found in the XPH.

Check out page 76 of DS3.5 r7

Alternatively, the Wilder class is essentially meant to represent Wild Talents (untrained psionic potential) ... a single level dip would be the Wild Talent equivalant

3e / 3.5e has a much, much heavier emphasis on game balance than 2nd edition did, and randomly determined character abilities (capable of making a character vastly more effective than others) were written out of the system. If you want to be able to use a psionic power, you have to be willing to pay for it ... and there are a couple of ways of doing so provided.
