Yuan Ti in Dark Sun?

So, I know that Kobolds and several other races where wiped out in Dark Sun, but where Yuan-Ti?
I know that regardless if I really want Yuan-Ti I can put them in, but I was curious if they were one of the races that got wiped out in prior editions.

It would suck if they were cleansed, they seem like a very Dark Sunny race to use.
But like you said, we can put them in if we want.
