Did anyone play a prank on their tables yesterday?

I integrated one into filling out the missing XP for Tomb of the Moving Stones. I had the party investigate a disturbance outside of Red Larch. One of the wizards passed the Perception check to notice a distinct smell in the air as the party walked through some mushrooms, but failed the Nature check to identify them. Minutes later, a tarrasque leapt out of the river. The party finally snapped out of their hallucinations as a patrol of Sky Cult Riders came upon them.

Similarly, I had planned to have the first session at the local store where I'm DMing (new AL DM) start out with the party entering an illusionary cave perhaps a mile before first reaching the town of Red Larch. Decending into the cave, they would have encountered Zuggtmoy, the big bad of the original Temple of Elemental Evil.

However, on arriving and setting up for the session, I judged the mood to not be sympathetic to an April Fools joke. Think it would have been amusing though had they not been so grumpy about things that day.

I had to miss out, since Maundy Thursday and April Fools came so close together this year.  My church had a Seder (brief description of the chief foods and their meanings, not a full meal or ritual.)

I did get to pull this off:

As the pastor described the Lamb Shank, one boy sitting near me began making a face.  I told him, "It's not bad at all.  Tastes like chicken."  This got startled looks from the adults nearby.

Actually, lamb tastes like roast beef (as in Arbys).  But as we all have heard, everything new tastes like chicken.
