| #1Sorin_777Nov 20, 2014 20:41:33 | What's up guys-
So I've got a local game store, they're great, but I've also got a DM (myself) and three players at home. We want to get on board with the AL in our at home games. Nothing against organized play at the game store, I'm also a magic player and an FNM regular.
I suppose my question is what I actually *do* with the adventure logs and such? I understand my non-MTG playing PC's will have to get DCI numbers, and that we are to work through published adventures with no extras, I think I have that covered. Maybe I missed it somewhere, but I wanted to know what I did administratively as a DM, to get these logs into the system? Also, what if any affect will it have for us if we start Rise of Tiamat, but are a month behind scheduled play? Are there any weekly story line bits available to at home DM's?
Alright, sorry for all the new guy questions, and thanks in advance for checking this out. |

1. The only thing you need to do with Adventurers Logs is fill them out as you would in a store. So each session gets a date and then you record exp earned, gold earned/used, renown etc.
2. I assume you have a copy of the DMG basic rules and the Players Guide to Tyranny of Dragons. Both are needed but moreso the Players Guide. http://dndadventurersleague.org/downloads/
is the place to get all that stuff including logsheets to print out
3. You will find that you rarely EVER get Magic items in the modules. They are both considered magic lite.
Keep in mind that you dont need to report this. The games you are running at home would be considered non public play: so you are limited to running Lost Mine or Hoard of the Dragon Queen. You also cannot use the milestone method for exp purposes: it HAS to be exp earned each session.
So to repeat 'There are no getting the logs into the system'. |
