AL FAQ PDF

I don't know...  I kinda got impatient waiting for a PDF version of the FAQ; I decided to convert the FAQ Wiki page into a PDF file.  I'm including the link to the PDF here: FAQ Link.  It's unofficially official...  Or officially unofficial...  It's not something produced by the AL staff; however, it contains the FAQ entries from the FAQ Wiki and is unaltered from the site.  If there is an error, I think we can blame the AL staff for that...

I can make formatting alterations on request.  I was thinking of reducing the print size; however, my eyes are getting old.  Sometimes, it gets hard seeing smaller print.  I won't make any changes to the actual FAQ entries though.  If you want something formatting wise, just let me know.

UPDATE 20150422: Add text per request detailing the unofficial status.  Reformatted the font size to reduce the number of pages from 15 to 11.

UPDATE 20150428: Added the "State of Mulmaster" article to the document.  I guess technically it's not a FAQ; however, I know I would like to have a PDF version to take to game days and/or conventions...

UPDATE 20150519: Added the recent FAQ entries; took out the "State of Mulmaster" portion since it is now available as an official download.  Also, added a SPOILER SECTION where the ruling on Orcsplitter is available for review.

UPDATE 20150703: Added the recent FAQ entries; added the PHB Errata portion from the official site.

UPDATE 20150804: Added the new FAQ entries; I took out the Orcsplitter part.  I might, if anyone expresses an interest, in creating a PDF version of the Orcsplitter article.

I am not sure how useful such a PDF is given how frequently the FAQ is updated (about once every few weeks as needed).

It's about as difficult to maintain as a wiki, probably less time since I lift the text from the wiki.  It took 8 minutes and 37 seconds to create this file.  It'll probably take around that much time, "once every few weeks as needed", to update it.  I added a "Updated on" field to give DMs a feel for the age of the file.  They can print it out when they feel new FAQs will have a potential for impact on an average session.

While I appreciate the effort to create this document, please make sure that people know that it is not official.  The content can and will change over time, and this will lead to inadvertant old copies being distributed.

Perhaps update your cover sheet to include something like the following:

"For up-to-date FAQ entries, please consult <insert URL>.  This document does not supersede any of that information, and is not intended as 'official' Adventurers League documentation."

Handy stuff, though!

I reformatted the document, to make it shorter page wise.  While I'm editting, any other request or thoughts on what to put on the front page?

And, I did have a "updated on" date on the document to differentiate between older documents and newer documents.

I'm a big fan of fried chicken.  And illithids.  Though... in retrospect, that's a weird association I suppose.

In all seriousness -- looks solid

Speaking of PDFs - they are incredibly useful to access via portable devices (laptops, tablets, etc) when away from the internet - such as at our weekly Encounters sessions. With that being said, given how frequently the FAQ is updated, I would strongly recommend against printing this on a regular basis - think of the trees!

Lots of stuff being created -- feels like a community!

Thanks for taking this on, abanathie.

I suspect orcsplitter may be mentioned in the FAQ wiki at a later date (it was only posted yesterday).

Added Orcsplitter to a SPOILER SECTION, in big letters.  It's at the end of the document.  If anyone wants to avoid reading the spoiler stuff, avoid the end of the document.  Mulmaster backgrounds are already a PDF created by the AL.
