Awaken (Spell) in AL

How does the Awaken spell function in AL? 

 

Is the creature marked on your Adventurers log as an NPC ally or cohort of your character, and if so - does this only apply while the creature remains charmed by your character?

 

Does the creature only remain an ally for the duration of the current session, after which it "disappears"?

 

What happens to the creature when the charm effect is removed or expires?

 

Answers to these questions would be much appreciated.
