A while back, there was some speculation that we would be able to purchase low level spell scrolls in AL play.

I have not seen nor read anything allowing this, so I am assuming the speculation was just wishful thinking.  Did I miss something, or is it still not an option?

I know that a coordinator at a future, local convention said that buying scrolls with be allowed at a special "spell scroll" table.  In addition, a magical item exchange table will be available too.  You probably heard about one of these; however, there are probably no plans on expanding the purchase rules for the current season.

It is possible that such an option might very well exist at a convention - similar to the magic item trader at winter fantasy. I would expect that scrolls provided at this convention will come with single-use certificates to prove their authenticity. Most likely such certificates would be generic (eg. scroll of 1st level spell, scroll of 3rd level spell, etc).

Otherwise, the character lacks sufficient documentation as to how they might have acquired a scroll of fireball or any other scroll not found in the modules.

The Winter Fantasy version of the trading post did allow the purchase of some scrolls and potions. It remains to be seen if this is included in the version we'll be taking around the country.

I figured I would have heard/read more if it was now legal to buy level 1 scrolls, or whatever....  Didn't think so but wanted to check.
