| #1IczecoldFeb 27, 2015 10:09:20 | I am a new store organizer and am confused on encounters vs. casual play. My store cannot run encounters because they are closed all day Wednesays, but people are very interested in playing the print adventure path starting with Princes of the Apocalypse coming soon as well as do a few expeditions on other days. It's to my understanding that these will be considered and reported as casual play events (besides the expeditions).
So what is the advantage of running the adventure during encounters versus casual play? Is it just the faction kits or is there other advantages? Are the kits only available for encounters or can a store receive them even if they are doing casual play and expeditions. My players are really excited and I just want to make sure they are not missing out on anything. They were especially interested in the faction kits but will be disappointed if these are just for encounters.
Thanks so much for clearing up the confusion. |

People may search for Encounters and miss your store's casual play dates. I'm not sure how likely this is or how important that would be to your store, however.
I don't have information—maybe Skerritt can weigh in—about ordering the faction kits, but item certificates are available for Expeditions regardless of when they are played. Of course, the new season is just about to begin and the rules may change slightly with the new season. |

If not, ask away. |

Basically my guys are going to play the print adventure on a differemt day then wednesdays due to the store being closed. This will go in as casual play, but they were interested in the faction kits, which i believe is justf or the encounters program? So they just want to make sure they are not missing out on anything from NOT playing on Wednsesdays and if so there is talk of going to a different store. Thanks for taking the time to respond. |

Anyone who is officious about that is just being obnoxious. |
