| #1MirtekAug 01, 2015 16:16:10 | What's the official min/max XP for this adventure? It says 450/600, but someone told me it received errata to 900/1200.
Is this true? Are characters who received 450-600 XP no illegal and have to fix their logs potentially rendering further mods already played to be void?
Is it not true and there are now illegal characters who received 900+ XP from the mod running around? |
| #2NevvurAug 01, 2015 18:00:33 | Both the version currently posted on the module download site, and the version I downloaded back in early May list the adventure at 450/600, so if it got an errata it never made it into the module.
According to the Suggestions and Errata, it should be 900/1200 on account of the APL 3, and this is allegedly confirmed by Robert Adducci. I couldn't find any official statement outside this player created resource.
Whether your group received 450-600, or 900-1200, that doesn't retroactively make everything void that you've done since then.

The Min/Max of 450/600 XP for DDEX 2-7: Bounty in the Bog is low for an APL 3 adventure. What should it be?The correct amount is 900 minimum, 1200 maximum. NEW: The FAQ dated 7/2/2015 noted that the XP totals for DDEX 2-7: Bounty in the Bog were incorrect (450/600 XP) and provided the correct XP totals (900/1200 XP). What can players who have already played the adventure do to correct their XP?They should make the minimum change necessary to correct the character. In this case, players should update the XP received for playing the adventure to 900. |

Character Advancement
So you played a tier 1 adventure with a level 4 character who had more than 6500 XP. You just chose not to level up. It's a bit of a technicality, but should appease any DM who notices it on your log sheet. If you are refused a seat at the table because of it, count yourself lucky for avoiding a jerk DM. |

Doing otherwise might mean invalidating game sessions which were believed to be legal, or at the very minimum - altering your XP on every log entry after the fact. It is better to simply make a new entry "XP Adjustment" and make sure to detail the reasons for it in the Adventure notes section (correcting XP for bounty in the bog).

Then I added 300 XP to my most recent entry, and made a note of why. Making an entirely new entry would have worked also, but thats not what I did...
Mirtek: Please relax about it.... this is a League designed around having fun playing a game. Despite one RC's ill conceived rant on the subject, no one is going to care about such a minor, and honest, mistake. Make the correction, dont' stress about the 'extra' module played, and move on. No worries, its all good....
