Hey there. I've been using my tablet during Encounters and Expeditions sessions to track my character sheet, so I decided I needed a way to record my adventure log as well. Thus I built a small web app.

 

Sign up's free. You can add a character and then record each session's details for that character. A character's log can also be made public so others can easily view it (example)

 

The app is intented to work on any device, though I'm still hammering out some of the responsiveness issues. Let me know if it doesn't work on a particular device. I'm also open to other suggestions on how to imporive the app.

 

EDIT: As an example of a more fleshed out result my current Encounters character is here. For even more data, my Expeditions character can be found here.

DM Logs are now live. Users can also set themselves to public to allow others to see theri DM logs. See a public example here:

This is amazing.  Thank you.    A few questions/comments:

 

  1. Do you have plans to put in a GP Spent, or Downtime Spent field, or should we just put in negative numbers and make a note in the Notes field
  2. The GP Gained field doesn't allow decimals, which makes it difficult to track sp and cp.
  3. I'm not sure there's any *good* mechanic for the tool to track magic item trades, but I'll mention it in case someone else is much smarter than I.

Again, thank you for doing this.   I had rigged up an Excel sheet once I realized that playing once a week was going to require a ream of paper...but this is MUCH cooler!

A few oberservations and suggestions:

 

1. You misspelled order of the gaunlet

 

2. Any reason for repeating the header every three entries in the print version? Yes, it follows the original AL design, but honestly I think this is really a bad design they have chosen. It's like the early LFR log which also only had 3 adventures per page in the first version until the finally switched to a more sensible log that allowed to record 15 adventures per page. I'd suggest to only repeat the header once for each site and otherwise put as many adventures on the paper as can fit

 

3. If you were to include a character sheet too, you great little site would all but eliminate the need to keep  any additional documents at all

Thought I'd post my public characters so people can see what it looks like. Both are heavily weighted with DM credits, since that's mostly what I do; I've only gotten to play a couple of times.

I've updated the list I posted earlier, to show how I think it would work. Players of the Encounters program record experience per play, but DMs get it per "section" -- i.e., an episode, or chapter, or part, or whatever. I imagine the drop-down list can be just a shortcut, since you should always be able to put in whatever you want.

Fixed some bugs. Added some stuff to make input easier and the ability to show DM logs on the character page, as promised. Not completely happy with the date/time picker, but it'll do for now. When you manually add a new DM from now on you should automagically have it added to your list of DMs.

 

Let me know if there are any issues or you have better implementation ideas.

Really glad you made this! The online region will use it a lot.

 

As a side note, someone is developing a Fantasy Grounds extension for an AL Logsheet - https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?23971-Adventurer-s-League-Log&p=208750#post208750

 

It would be awesome if we could get some sort of XML import/export for characters to your site.
