Wizards of the Coast has announced its next storyline season, naming it Elemental Evil. The Moonsea: It is a city of political machinations, double-dealings, and secrets. It is a city of intrigue and plots and secret midnight transactions. It is a city of trade, and commerce, and discovery. It is not a city of safe respite… it is a city of danger. Where will adventure take you?
The Adventures: The D&D Adventurers League has also announced some details in advance of the Elemental Evil storyline season. Elemental Evil Adventures and Season Details

| #2DM_HEEGZJan 22, 2015 22:06:19 | I've been waiting for this news. Thanks!
Should club organizers apply now for access to these, as we did for last season, or wait a bit longer? |
| #3Raddu76Jan 24, 2015 18:40:32 | Encounters should be ordered now (scheduling ends Feb 7th), and Expeditions should be ordered between Feb 8th mand March 7th for April (the first available EE adventures). |

| #5NozareemFeb 09, 2015 8:33:18 | I've been told about new races other than Genasi but other sub races as well and new spells and subclasses like for warlocks and a few other classes. I'm very excited for next season, can't wait. |
| #6Magicninja17Feb 10, 2015 4:23:43 | So I have these events scheduled, so I need to also need to contact somebody to request the modules or is it automatic? |
| #7TyranthraxusFeb 10, 2015 16:58:09 | Magicninja: The store that requested the scenarios/ and or Princes module will be sent a link to a website where you download the expeditions scenarios. You cant do anything until they are sent this link. They would either then either direct the scenarios to you, print them out for you .. etc.
The link comes from WOTC directly to the store. |
| #8Magicninja17Feb 10, 2015 20:24:01 | Alright, and how about the kits that they release every sesson? Once I run out, is it possible to get more or is the one shipment that they give me what I get for all season? For instance, when the Tyranny of the Dragon season came out, I got about 4 kits of each faction, and I haven't gotten anymore. I know they are suppose to determine how many kits to send me depending on how many people attend the D&D Encounters, but I get new people that come and go all the time! So should I wait to handout kits for people that attend over a handful of sessions, or do I just hand them to newcomers like candy? |
| #9TyranthraxusFeb 10, 2015 21:38:48 | MagicNinja: Im not positive on this but depending on the level of the store some got 24 kits (so 4 for each faction) and some got 48. The proviso being that these were stores that had made sure they were on the encounters train before it left the station. The stores that decided to hang back and wait to see if they could catch the train later got nothing. THere simply was no more kits to send as they had ALL been sent out. This is in essence why the reporting of sessions is so important, it enables your store to possibly receive more kits should WOTC make them again.
Essentially at my local store, 20 kits were handed out in our first session (ie one per player). Then we had 4 left (all Harpers from memory) that went out bit by bit.
It has not been confirmed yet there will be a second lot of kits sent out for the new season despite a lot of people perhaps wish fuffilling and saying there will be. There is everyone chance the kits were a once off and might not be done again.
Kits are not a mandatory part of play and yes you do run the risk of people turning up for one session, getting a kit then you never seeing them again. But that is organised play for you.

| #10AlphastreamFeb 11, 2015 13:38:56 | Kits are certainly cool, but not necessary. Nothing in the kit enables a level of fun you can't otherwise attain without the kit.
There will be kits for the upcoming season, and they are similar but revised (the information can be found in the WPN solicitation information - make sure your store has signed up). I suspect stores will still run out, as before. It's a nice boon to get up front, not a guaranteed benefit for every player. |
| #11TyranthraxusFeb 11, 2015 18:29:41 | Thanks Alphastream for the definite confirmation!

| #12CzarCascadeFeb 12, 2015 7:20:21 | Is season 2 going to take place in the Greyhawk setting?
Looking forward to making some new characters and considering different backgrounds... |

| #14Coredump00Feb 12, 2015 10:19:38 | I am pretty sure it has been confirmed that next season is in FR, IIRC I believe Skerrit even said the season after that is also in FR... but I might be misremembering. |
| #15SkerritFeb 12, 2015 11:21:58 | Season 2 is definately in Mulmaster and its environs. Think of the EE getting failing to conquer/forced out of Oerth and so turning its eye elsewhere. That Toril looks ripe for invasion, what with all that Sundering and such. |
| #16Enevhar_AldarionFeb 12, 2015 22:55:10 | Per Robert Adducci, the AL Head, and the admins of the AL Facebook page, yes, Season Two is set around Mulmaster.
Elemental Evil/Princes of the Apocalypse are set in the Sword Coast, as they are tied to the Neverwinter game.
And Skerrit, I thought Elemental Evil was supposed to be more of a spiritual successor to Temple of Elemental Evil, rather than a reboot or a sequel to it, which is why it could be in Forgotten Realms. |
| #17SkerritFeb 13, 2015 5:25:12 | It is never really specified, so you can view it whichever way makes you happiest! Either way the adventures are great! |

| #21KalaniFeb 16, 2015 10:32:12 | I agree. While the kits aren't necessary, there are a lot of people who enjoy the feeling of owning one - examples such as the ones you gave above. It's not pragmatic. It's not practical. But there is a visceral ju ne sais quoi about owning something purely for the emotional fulfillment it brings. |

| #23SkerritFeb 16, 2015 13:34:02 | With the PG v2, each faction will have a downtime activity unique to that faction so there will be another reason to be a member. |

| #25NozareemMar 06, 2015 22:42:59 | I just remembered that the next setting will be is just south were Richard Baker had his book series of the Sword Mage with now lord Geran. I also hope sometime in the future the WOTC incorporates the Sword Mage class into 5th edition. |

| #28NozareemMar 07, 2015 23:49:20 | While it is possible, the eldritch knight fills the same niche in the game (a fighting spellcaster) - so the odds of it happening (any time soon) are remote. So as not to be disappointed, I would assume that the eldritch knight killed the swordmage and stole its stuff. The eldritch knight sucks compared to the Sword Mage! So I HOPE that WOTC has more sence then that to think eldritch night would replace a interacit class that had a novel based on it, plus I know many people who liked and played that class. None I know or seen at the Cons have played that crap excuse of a wannabe Sword Mage class either! |
