Expeditions at a non-public location?

So, to the best of my understanding of the rules, if you want to run official Expedition scenarios for folks, it has to be run under the auspices of a game store, and it has to either be there or in a suitable public place accordingly.

If this is correct (and I have not misunderstood or missed something along the way), are there any plans in the works to set up a system to allow Expeditions to be run out of a non-public spot (such as, say, my home's gaming room, like I used to do each week back with Living Greyhawk)?

I really like 5e, and I like the scenarios of Expeditions and such, but I'm really not a fan of the track they took on options with gameplay.  I also understand that AL is not a campaign about gaming, but is a campaign about getting butts in seats and associated marketing for Wizards, and if I want to just run a campaign, I can just run a plain old campaign of my own... but I really used to like the way previous Living Campaigns were organized, and how they allowed for there to be this 'common baseline' of characters and such that could be taken from one convention to another.

I would dearly love to run Expeditions stuff from my house if possible, but I'm not seeing any provisions for that offhand.

Im of the opposite view. I love the whole concept of public gameplay and not gameplay hidden away in someones home. Albeit my home wouldnt be big enough to have a full table of gamers + dm but I do like the 'event' style feel of gaming in public.

I think this question might be more serviced by directly emailing one of the campaign administrators though.

I'm pretty sure that D&D Encounters is runnable as a home game but havent heard anything about Expeditions being set up that way.

I don't have the time currently to draft up a bigger post, but your best bet would probably be to send a message towards the official Adventure League twitter account.  They've always been helpful and quick to respond when I had a question I needed to run by them.

Its been answered elsewhere in the negative. A House is never considered a Public location thus games cant be held there. Ive read of games run in Libraries and coffee shops sponsored by stores however.

Ah well.  Hopefully maybe the policy will be changed for next season, so some of the other players at my store who are interested can play.  Thanks for the info, all.
