The first Unearthed Arcana article is out, and covers converting a fair amount of Eberron rules to 5th Edition.

Just noting here that, until otherwise allowed by an official AL source or incorporated into the D&D Basic Rules (which is itself an official rules source), warforged, changelings, artificer wizards and the rest of the content in that downloadable document are not legal to use in Adventurers League.

Pauper: Im not sure that this forum for AL is an appropriate place to  post the news about this as it has no direct relation to AL currently.

Im more concerned that people are going to just start making assumptions now that was it produces will be legal for AL.

The Player's Guide is the source for what's legal. That is all.

And Robert Adducci and the other admins on the AL Facebook page have already ruled that as of now, no Unearched Arcana articles will be legal til at least the beginning of the season after Elemental Evil, and even then probably not.

If I had to make a guess regarding UA content as future AL content, my money would be on setting agnostic content that would be available to all players regardless of story origin.

I also have a theory that setting conversion guides are indicative of what's on the horizon. Am I the only one who feels like this is an Eberron playtest while WotC puts the final touches on the psionics system?

I know this is also off-topic, but I am very curious about how AL would be affected by a setting change. I can start a separate thread for it if the AL staff would like.

The UA article is at the playtest level anyway. That being said, I'd like to suggest a playtest campaign, wherein sessions would be sanctioned as "unofficial" AL play in order to act as a testbed for new rules and such, possibly with unique awards for participants since gains couldn't apply to official AL characters.
