Gloves of Swimming and Climbing?

Hello, I'm currently a DM at my LGS and we're planning on have an Expeditions day where I and the other DMs are going to be playing our character thorugh the Lost Mine of Phlandelvar. I'm currently building a Half-Elf Paladin (going Oath of the Ancients) and I'm looking at the selection of starting gear from my Special Starting Item certificate for being a DM.

 

I can't seem to find any official information of what the Gloves of Swimming and Climbing do for 5e, could someone link me the information?

Gloves of Swimming and Climbing

Wondrous item, uncommon (requires attunement)
While wearing both of these gloves, climbing and 
swimming doesn’t cost you extra movement. In addition, 
you have a +5 bonus to Strength (Athletics) checks you 
make to climb or swim.
