Again, questions for the "Powers That Be" (or those who can commune with them):
Is it legal for a (dwarven) cleric to choose a (dwarven) deity "TBD" based on desired domain? In the PHB, there is only one dwarven deity listed - Moradin (and some would argue this is as it *should* be!). However, per "Suggested Domains" , Moradin holds dominion only over Knowledge.
Should I use 'suggested' as just that... a suggestion... and still venerate Moradin's more martial aspects, choosing War Domain?
Alternately, if my cleric must venerate a dwarven deity of war, let's say, can he just hold out until such information becomes available in the future, still designating War as his cleric domain?
Should I just choose Clangeddin Silverbeard now, and assume that War domain will be suggested for him in the future?
How does my combat lovin' dwarven cleric keep his nose out of the books?

When the campaign begins, the only dieties that we know are alive (and what their domains are), are those in the PHB. Therefore those are the only ones the DnDAL is recognizing until some book comes out with more info. If you decide to choose a different diety anyway, I can promise you that you will never find a temple or cleric or worshipper of that diety in any DnDAL adventure. |

Is it assumed, however, that since the Basic rules have Life as a sole Domain for ALL clerics, that that is a viable option too (for all gods)? |

The dwarven pantheon associated with Moradin is called out specifically in PHB text. I'd expect you'll get some leeway from DMs, as long as you're using existing domains. |
