#1 Karth_GoblinKnight Sep 23, 2015 20:57:38	I've noticed that a portion of the AL-playing populace is less than pleased that a certain dark elf was hinted to appear in the RoD storyline. I've read their reasons and admittedly find them valid. It's just ... would it be such a bad thing to have a key FR character play a kry role in our AL experience? I remember that, in 4e, there were one-off encounters published in either Dragon or Dungeon for fights against Drizzt and Elminster. I never had cause to use them, but I thought they were awesome. Sure, Drizzt doesn't need to be everywhere, but wouldn't some people enjoy the opportunity to cross blades with him? In the end, so long as we the PCs remain the protagonists and the guest stars remain as supporting players, I personally feel that it doesn't matter if some icon from the books is an ally, a quest-giver, or an enemy. Is there anyone else out there whom agrees?

#5 Pauper Sep 24, 2015 8:57:24	For better or worse, Driz'zt is a very popular character, so while it's a bit cheesy to leave his status in re: the Rage of Demons season somewhat vague (as the marketing folks did), it makes sense that doing so might cause some folks to buy material they might not otherwise buy in the hopes of learning more about one of their favorite characters. It's too bad, in that sense, that Driz'zt's role appears to largely be a quest-giver in the Neverwinter MMO -- disappointing the audience you excited is the surest way to beat down interest in your property. -- Pauper

He's become a cliche, overplayed, overhyped race traitor and an ubiquitous rpg meme and I am sick of hearing about him. References to him, comparisons to him, imitations of him, prayers to him, bleh bleh.

Drizzt makes excellent low brow humor fodder.. Other than that I hope he says out of the way... Or invisible..

Spoiler You could stat up Drizzt and face him off with the rest of the demons during their royal rumble...if nothing else, one of your players gets to play Drizzt and possibly slay something big and evil. You can leave an escape hatch of sorts with a teleport spell, or a charm that teleports him away if he falls unconscious.
