Is it possible to get the Hoard of the Dragon Queen, book or pdf that is used in the encounters game play.

Yes you simply have to dm the game at your local game store and they will provide you a link to download the first 3 episodes of the adventure. If that is impossible you will have to buy the whole book

I have already bought the books. I bought them from an advance store on the 9th. I was wanting to look at how the sessions have the game divided up.

Actually they expect you to take 5-6(Episode1). then 2-3(Episode 2), then 8-9(Episode3) sessions of 2 hours each. They award exp per monster but cap your gain of exp so that the adventue is basically using the milestone rule as see in the full adventure. So basically if you follow those rules you should be fine. The break up is to more or less keep to the time limit of an Encounters session (2 hours) However if your store does not play that way or if you are playing at home it really does not matter.
