Run AL at a store and the coordinator will be able to provide them to you.  Alternatively, get in contact with some of the folks on the Online Play facebook group and run some games there.

They aren't just given away.

The Expeditions are WPN exclusive adventures. Not only do you need to get the password and website information from a WPN Store (who sponsors/hosts the events on your behalf), but these events must be scheduled and played in a public place, and availble to the general public.

If the adventure is not open to the general public, or if they are not played in a store or other public venue - you cannot run/play the adventure period. Online play must also be streamed or made available to the public in some manner.

These adventures are offered for free under a limited licence. You cannot play these adventures in your private home games.

Gotcha. Im more than happy to pay for them but i guess that is a mute point. I own PotA and HotDQ, RoT. Do these releases already include the expeditions adventurez just under another name? If i find time to run a game at a AL game shop will i be able to download past adventures? Thx all

All DDEX (Expeditions) modules (so far) happen around the Moonsea Region.  The Moonsea is about 1000 miles (scale?) from the Sword Coast (Baldur's Gate, Waterdeep, Neverwinter).  The vast majority of the for sale products happen in and along the Sword Coast (I know that RoT wanders all over), or at least, much closer than the Moonsea.

Expeditions Modules are not included in the For Sale Adventures.  The only way to access them is by partnering with a Wizards Play Network (WPN) store.  That store can schedule games (that they either host or sponsor in an off-site, public location, such as a library or public hall) via the WPN reporting system.  Once games are scheduled, the organizer at the store will receive the password to the website where the Expeditions can be downloaded.

I am unclear on whether the old passwords will continue to work after new seasons start (as I only have one password for the current season).  If the old passwords continue to work and the store is provided with them, all the Expeditions modules should be available.

If you do not have a local gaming store that is a member of the WPN (most likely are, if for no other reason than to report Magic the Gathering events), the store can join.  I do not know the requirements for this procedure or how to go about it.

If you do not have a local gaming store, Expeditions adventures can be played online with an authorized Dungeon Master via the AL Online Region.  It may be possible to become an authorized Dungeon Master and gain access to the Expeditions material in that manner.  You would need to ask around and probably then contact Wizards Customer Support.

The old passwords have not been retired (yet). Due to the way the website is organized, both passwords take you to different sections of the site - but from the same login page (dndadventurersleague.org/adventures). I highly doubt the old passwords will be retired until such times as that seasons Expeditions are retired. At this time, there is no plan on retiring any of the Expeditions for the foreseeable future.

I have used both passwords in the past few days, and they both work fine.

I'd still like to see the Expeditions get printed releases one day, even if only after they're retired from AL play. This thread is proof that there is a consumer interest in purchasing the Expeditions as a retail product. Why won't WotC shut up and take our money, already? :P

For the same reason that the Living Greyhawk scenarios were never sold for release.  Very very very few Organised Play campaigns ever 'sell' their scenarios down the track . Pathfinder is an exception in that you have to purcahse the scenario before running it for PFS.

If you want to run them, talk to your Regional Coordinator.   The AL is ALWAYS looking for more Local Coordinators!  We need people power!

There's also a matter of how much it would cost to produce at commercial-quality, and how little would actually be made on selling them.

WotC probably decided that it just wasn't worth it when they could be doing other things with their budget. And that's probably a good decision.

Everyplace is different, but we are using Season 1 expeditions pretty regularly.  Especially for new DMs, since they have likely played them so they are more familiar.

But if you had some folks that wanted to play DDEX1-9 (or whatever) I can't imagine a bunch of DMs saying 'No'.

Also, anyone can DM...  If you guys want to run it, just have one of you DM.

I'm confused, i was under the impression that the expeditions for each season were from the hard cover adventures. i thought DDEX1-9 ~ were from the first hardcover book hoard of the dragon queen. Am i incorrect?

You are incorrect. Expeditions (DDEX?-?) are set in the Moonsea region and are episodic in nature

The hardcovers are set primarily along the Sword Coast and face the same enemy.

Encounters (DDEN?) is an excerpt from the hardcover.

Epics (DDEP?) are multitable events exclusive to conventions.
