After our session he awarded use one inspiration point for our good role playing and chose making. I thought that was really cool ! Was that something that was special to use or has other groupes received the same ? And how do we apply inspiration to role and game play ? |

In short, you can get one inspiration point maximum at any given time, and you can either spend it to get advantage on a roll or hand it off to another PC who doesn't currently have any inspiration points.

Inspiration is a reward that your DM can give you for a variety of reasons, including good roleplaying. You can only have one inspiration "point" at a time; you either have it or you don't. You can give your inspiration point to another player if you choose.
When you make an attack roll, saving throw, or ability check you can choose to use your inspiration point to give you advantage on that roll.
I'm glad to see your DM is using this tool, and congratulations on earning inspiration!
