Intro mod for AL?

I'd like to suggest a module be written for AL strictly for new characters which includes an introduction to the current season and the five factions as well as how those five factions will be represented in the season.

This should be the type of adventure people could keep around and bust out whenever they have a group of new players (to D&D, 5E, or AL) that want to play, with the material being rewritten each season to keep it fresh.

The easiest way to write it would be to have a macguffin that could be split between each party member (a set of magic coins, five pieces of a celestial orrery, the six tanned scalps of criminals each of which is a part of a larger map, etc.), so that each player would have the opportunity to decide which faction they want to give the item to, and without damaging the ability of other players to make their own decisions in that regard.

DDEX2-1 falls into the same boat (both 1-1, and 2-1 are limited to 1st and 2nd level characters)

Isn't that convention only, though?

The DDEX adventures are not convention only, they are public play only. That includes conventions, stores, libraries, coffee shops, online streaming... anywhere someone else can watch you play.

like already stated the DDEX1-1 and DDEX2-1 is exactly what your asking but it's available only to event organizer. (I do not believe that general public can access them, if I'm wrong please give me the link so I can play them with my friends outside the store)

For home game, you got the starter kit  Lost Mine of Phandelver that do a great job at introducing the 5 factions, what they stand for and what they are trying to accomplish.

Expeditions modules are only available to event organizers. To access the modules, you require a password which can be obtained from the FLGS sponsoring/hosting your event.

I know that gaming clubs can also run the modules at any public location (eg. Library, University, etc), however I am uncertain as to how they can acquire the password. Most likely, it means registering the club with the WPN (Wizards Play Network).

Unfortunately, the "intro" mod is coming a month into the season, instead of at the beginning of the season.  As is, the "intro" mod for season 2, is the Encounters document for Princes of the Apocalypse and *not* the DDEXx-1 mods.  Is this intended?  Probably not, but it's the reality.
