| #2OraibiMay 30, 2015 23:13:29 | ... so what's your point? I'm not sure what you're trying to say, or why. |
| #3NevvurMay 31, 2015 2:29:29 | It's a large min/max XP (900/1200) when compared to most other t1 expedition modules, without demanding a great deal more time/resources to complete. It is optimized for a party of 5 third level characters, but then so is Bounty in the Bog (450/600), Tales Trees Tell and Drums in the Marsh (600/750).
Keep in mind the faster you level through t1, the fewer opportunities you'll have to acquire magic items. |

Both 2-6 and 2-8 also have a number of monsters that can blast a level 1 character from full health to outright dead in a single hit.
So sure, go ahead and play them with your level 1 so it can level straight to 3. But if I was DMing, and knew that was your primary motivation? Uh-oh. |

| #7MirtekMay 31, 2015 16:02:34 | I am glad I stumbled about this knowledge, so I can avoid the adventure. I am currently 1208 XP from level 5, this allows me to play 3 more 1-4 adventures before I level. If I happend to play 2-6 I could only play 2 more 1-4 adventures before leveling out.
IMO adventures with such big exceptions from the "XP norm" should warn about that in some way, so that players don't accodently sign on for them |

I suspect they're quite misinformed. |

| #11MirtekJun 04, 2015 14:51:28 | Any news on whether this adventure will receive an errata with regards to min/max XP? I could play play it on the 14th, but if an XP errata is eventually arriving I'd rather skip it until the XP are fixed. |
| #12KalaniJun 04, 2015 14:58:49 | AFAIK - no such errata is forthcoming (I haven't heard anything at any rate). In fact, the campaign staff has been trying to get permission to errata numerous other missions from early in Season 1, let alone Season 2 - so I wouldn't get your hopes up for an errata any time soon.
I just checked the Unofficial Errata Document - there is no mention of altering the XP for this mission. |
| #13MirtekJun 07, 2015 13:14:33 | Too bad. I wonder if the admins would have a problem with a warning list of mods with big deviations of the "XP expectations".
Some would use it for leveling faster while other could use it to avoid leveling too fast.
Wouldn't need to spoil any XP values, just a rating like "low/normal/high/very high" would suffice for orientation.
It certainly sucks being told that one just earned 1,157 XP when one was expecting 600 at most and now is no longer able to play the other 1-4 one had planed to play with this character |
