| #1MasterNamerMar 04, 2015 9:41:46 | I was hoping someone might be able to help me figure out where in the Lost Mines of Phandelver the +1 Leather armor is. There is a cert with a log sheet on the back of it, yet I cannot figure out where it's found in the adventure. No npc seems to have it, and it's not listed anywhere in the treasure lists. Am I just missing something obvious? |

For example in HotDQ
Show the description of Harizawn as lacking fundamental information to use it properly, because they created Harizawn before they created the rules about sentient weapon There is a white dragon scale armor without any white dragon scale armor in the module, but talis the WHITE have a magical scale mail in his closet but no cert for a magical Scale mail, so we assume that WHITE scale mail came from there. So you could assume that the leather +1 was remove from the module AFTER the cert got printed, so you have a cert that cannot be used. or you can assume it was a typo and that one of the difficult fight, the main villain wearing a leather armor is actually wearing a leather armor +1. |

Since it's magical it's possible to shift into animal form and have the armor resize to fit the new form. Whether or not your beast form has proficiency with armor isn't clear, but it could still provide a tougher shell for your beast hp, since you can't cast spells in beast form until level eighteen anyway, and if you have a way to gain advantage while attacking you'd be able to negate the disadvantage on attacks. Counting toward your item total is fine, as there are plenty of adventures to play, and eventually you'll be on the same footing as others at your table. Usefulness aside, I'm still wondering where it's supposed to be located. It does seem like it may have been edited out, but it's possible that it's just been overlooked by most. I've seen authors/editors/ other people involved in the creation of adventures post on this board before, so if none of the end users have found it maybe someone who saw an earlier version could shed some light on the subject. |
