| #1Mommy_was_an_OrcJul 01, 2015 11:14:12 | Going to be going to DexCon and might bring my 8 year old along for a couple of mods.

2-1: Hour long chunks, nothing really unpleasant.
2-2: Haven't run or played.
2-5: Goes to some dark places, but isn't too bad, depending on the DM/players.
2-6: Goes to some very adult places, can be RP heavy near the beginning.
2-7: I feel this is pretty good for kids.
2-8: A harder module, because of volume of fighting (make sure the kid's not got a low level any more). Not much RP. Decent crawl.
2-10: Haven't run or played.
2-11: Half length, starts in the middile of the action.
2-12: Half length, starts with very little intro.
Hope that helps. |
| #3Mommy_was_an_OrcJul 01, 2015 13:28:35 | Thanks! Also, if anyone else is going and doesn't mind the possibility of a kid playing at the table, here's our schedule. Kid's most likely to show up at either 9-1 or 2-6 slots, probably once a day max. Friday |

| #5NozareemJul 02, 2015 11:14:29 | I've played them and the ones I will recommend are DDEX2-1 which is a starter for everyone that is just starting including kids. Also DDEX2-2, DDEX2-5 are good low teir 1-4 mods. I wouldn't recommend DDEX2-6 because of adult situation due to a more drug and sexual nature it's more PG13. DDEX2-7 would be fine and DDEX2-8 will be ok because by the time you play it you both should be at least 3rd lvl. |
| #6Galahad67Jul 02, 2015 11:52:56 | You may want to clear your child's participation with the DM in question.
I don't allow children under 13 at any of my tables without prior approval. |

They can come up with the most awesome and fun ideas, because they don't really care about reality or the exact letter of the rules. As a DM, you then need to come up with a way to make it work within the rules.
I'm pretty sure there's a Red Brand bandit studying classical painting in Waterdeep because of precisely that. |

Thats a shame, looks like you went to a fair bit of effort to plan ahead for him to play.

| #16Blade2718Jul 09, 2015 8:02:40 | I ran for a couple kids at Dex Con this year. One was a gloryhound and the other was watching YouTube the whole time, which was especially irritating because he was higher level than the rest of the table and could have been effectual sooner if he'd been paying attention. |
