Last night my Rogue picked a nobles pocket. Thing is the DM is not supposed to give out extra treasure so how would this be resolved? I only got 17 gold but if things hadnt gotten crazy I was going to pick more pockets and even cheat at gambling. How should something like this be resolved if the DM is limited on what they can give out?

Presonally it seems logical that the DM can throw a little gold around for special situations like this and our groups at this location runs a little fast and lose but not what I would consider over the edge.

Technically if you want to be a minimalistic wihtin the rule (even if stretching the rule slightly) he could take gold from treasures and give it to you. Specially if your group skipped a treasure or something. Some people will complain that even that cannot be done, but no one can detect such a thing on a logsheet, so who care?

For example, in an adventure you are promise 100gp by your sponsor.
Then within the dungeon there is a secret door with 50gp hidden, but your group fail to found that secret door

Then BBEG at the end had a treasure of 100gp.

You rogue stole 17 gp from a noble in town,

Your DM got 2 options, take that 17gp from the secret door treasure. or take it from the BBEG treasure and when you kill the BBEG you'll found only 83gp instead of 100.

Also note that at the end the gold you pickpocketed will be distributed among the whole party, even if no one knows you got it.

This happened to me in Phlan I had a character pickpocket in the Grocery from a Customer. I simply took the money out of a later encounter and in the end that money was distributed to the party members.

He also tried to do some strange things like Pickpockey from a Guard squad of Black Fists and from BEGGARS in the street. (So yeah, he STOLE money from the destitute... a few coppers). the Player generally plays rogues, even when hes not actually playing the class.

Im actually waiting for when that character goes to Mulmaster and attempts it on a noble or someone who then accuses him of using magic to steal.

Gonna run an Encounter's event for the first time on wednesday and I got some questions

-Do players get the elemental crystal included with the folios at the start of the game? or are they an adventure reward?

-Do those players that didn't get an event pholio still get the elemental crystal?

The elemental crystal is a player award. It is available at the start. Only players who have a folio gain the crystal, which is usable once.
