For example, are the weekly play modules DDEX2-1 thru DDEX2-16 the same content as the released Princes of the Apocalypse book? |

The Encounter modules for each Season are the beginning of each books, normally enough of the book is made free through Encounters to get characters to 5th level. But if you want to continue the adventure after that, you have to buy the book. |

| #6DeathMutantLivesOct 02, 2015 10:02:48 | Also, the first three seasons of Expeditions all take place around the Moonsea while Encounters (and the related hardcover adventures) all take place on the Sword Coast; hundreds of miles to the west! This is why, btw, I do not let Adventurers League characters easily switch back-and-forth between Expeditions and Encounters. |
| #7SkerritOct 05, 2015 10:22:02 | The general intent is specifically to allow the published mods in the Sword Coast area and keep AL stuff in the Moonsea, specifically to allow overlap of canon story events. No more why does this published mod take place in this town that was entirely destroyed last season in OP sorts of situations.
