| #1BobbyMillsFeb 02, 2015 13:51:13 | So last week my adventure group took down Teimat, by the hair on our chinny chin chins at that, from there I found out that my Dragonborn Palidan will not be able to go into the new books. Now that made me kind of sad, that was the frist character I had made in D&D ever; though the plus I do get to make my Half-orc Monk. Now I do have an odd question for those whom might know, If I run my Monk though Mines, Can I take him into the new books? |

There is nothing that says you have to retire your Tiamat-bane character; if your DM is up to creating some proper Epic enemies - hunting down any remaining evil dragons comes to mind - you can continue to L20.
Make two copies of the half-orc monk. Run one through the Mines; this will get you experience in what a Monk can do and how to do it. He then goes into the NPC file. The second copy can be used for Elemental Evil.
If somebody from AL corrects me on this, take his word rather than mine. |

We're just now getting ready for the first real 'wave' of level 5-10 adventures, and your character is likely even higher level than that -- I wouldn't expect any Expeditions modules for level 15+ characters for quite some time.
With that said, BJRN's comments are valuable, with one caveat -- if you play Lost Mine of Phandelver as an Adventurer's League game, you can't play a copy of that character in Expeditions. You could play Brian Rocksmelter in Mines, and his identical twin brother Barry Rocksmelter in Elemental Evil, but those would be seperate characters with seperate XP totals, treasure and story awards, and the like.
And yes, if your DM is amenable to transitioning the Tyranny of Dragons characters into a home game with new adventures of her own creation, you could continue to play those characters, but they would cease to be Adventurers League-legal once they begin gaining XP and treasure from non-AL adventures.

And I'm actully quite excited to play another character and build him up into something better than my frsit character was, and even more so soemthing different. Also when I say luckly I mean really lucky We were mostly level 8's with two level nines.
I thought about that, only making two bother but make them very different, I think that both of you make good points and I'm not supprised that I will not be able to take my Monk form Mines into Elemental evil. And I am just sad that my Dragonborn is gonna have to take the Bench, but really excited that my Half-Orc is gonna get to set up and take the field. |

And I just realised what an excellent selling position ~level 15 is - people are pumped and ready to buy product! |

So if your Paladin is level 9, you can now play in the DDEX1-10, or you can play in the later parts of PotA, or you can play in the EE expedition adventures when they come out.
Similarly, you can create your Monk using either the ToD or EE guidelines, and play that character in LMoP and use the exact same character in PotA or the EE expedition modules. Again, assuming the level/tier restrictions are met. Likewise, you could use the character in EE encounters, then use the same character in ToD expeditions. Heck, you could play PotA until level 8, then switch to playing RoT.
The only restriction is how you build the character... things like the 'hooks' in HotDQ and the Genasi race are specific to the 'season'. So the only thing you can't do is mix those, so no Genasi Dragon Scholars. |

| #10BobbyMillsFeb 05, 2015 8:08:18 | So from the way I'm reading all the stuff onine and such, I should be able to bring my Half orc through LMoF into EE. Due to the level requirements, am I reading that wrong or am I right? |

| #12PauperFeb 05, 2015 10:55:47 | According to the dndadventurersleague.org site (http://dndadventurersleague.org/storyline-seasons/elemental-evil/elemental-evil-adventures/), two of the five Elemental Evil adventures being released in March (for play starting April 1) are for the level 5-10 tier.
In addition, the three Tyranny of Dragons modules being run at Winter Fantasy, plus the last ToD module being released in April, are all 5-10 mods. Remember that, regardless of story origin, a valid AL character can play in both ToD and EE modules of appropriate level.
The content will be there when the character is ready.
