He is likely going to answer from his personal perspective, or the perspective of the game as a whole. And what works for the game as a whole (generally being a group with a DM filtering through calls in his/her campaign) does not always work for organized play.
Organized play is an ecosystem onto itself, its care and feeding takes some special care at times... Yes, consistancy is a good thing, but the price of such a thing needs to be evaluated on a case by case basis. So I hope there will be no blanket "if Sage Advice says A it is A" statements for AL. |

Yes, this will lead to different rulings by different DMs and is how it has to be as there will never be a complete reference for all situations. |
| #6KalaniFeb 17, 2015 14:11:27 | Would you count the articles on the dndadventurersleague.org website as another source of rules clarifications? It does have a FAQ relating to AL specifically, as well as a handful of articles which are helpful to any AL DM. |

And imaginaryfriend.inv makes a great point: the designers have not in recent memory cared one lick how their rulings affect organized play. To the contrary, they frequently rely on DMs to fix things at the table, which can lead to really bad experiences for players in OP. |
