I am about to enter 2nd Tier and am curious if there will be a one time rebuild option once the new book comes out in case there is anything really appealing in it.  I have been told there hasn't been any option given in the past for the other books that had one or two options given, but since this a much larger release, I wonder if this will be an exeption.

Doubtful.  We currently know two things: 1) the book is not listed as a player legal rules source, and 2) the admins have stated that they do not / will not make changes to the Player's Guide in the middle of a season.  So, if anything, we will probably be allowed to use the Sword Coast source book in Season 4.

Note, I am not an admin.  I am just repeating what I have read from admins on the forums previously.

I can confirm that the admins (Greg especially) have stated this to be true on numerous occasions. The only way it will be legal in Season 3, is if WotC tells us that it is legal upon release (don't get your hopes up for this outcome however). Otherwise - it won't be available until season 4 at the earliest

I dont think I can say it any better than Kalani or Undrhil above me.  And I certainly think its a question thats gonna come up again and again (and the usual variants on the same question have already started to appear on the main facebook group). I think its also perfectly logical to have this debut in Season 4, as it gives the Admins enough time to yay on neigh certain parts of it.

Another simple way to look at this is that the 3rd Season Player's Guide is already available and the Sword Coast book is not listed in there as legal for Season 3. And it is very, very unlikely that WotC will issue an update to the Season 3 Guide to make it legal.

Also, this is not from the admins... it is WotC that has declared there will be no mid-season ALPG changes.  They could change their mind, but...

Also, if you are entering tier 2, it sounds like its likely a PC based on the EE story origin, and even if they did allow SCAG, it would likely be for AoD story origin.

Further, I personally doubt that they would allow any tier 2 rebuilding regardless.... if they allowed it (doubtful) I would expect only for tier 1 PCs.

So... play your PC and enjoy it. Don't worry about SCAG and have fun with your current concept.
