Me and 7 other players were playing AL DDEX1-11 and it all seemed well until we started to get into character! I was playing a Bane knight from Thay and I had arrived at the secret meeting spot with my Barbarian friend Golith. When we got there we were met by another barbarian Dragonborn who dabbled in cleric life domain a assassin half elf a assassian air Genasi with fighter abilities and a human mage of the evocation style and a elven a Necromancer outcast with two of her zombies. This is where my barbarian friend freaked out that there was undead with us and quickly went for his great sword to slay the undead. This quickly up set the Necromancer who threatened to cast magic on him if he came any closer to the undead. Which is when the Bane knight quickly steped in to stop a all out bra way the meeting spot . After many harsh words the situation was resolved with some nice persuasion rolls on the barbarian. The other barbarian was not pleased eithor but reframed from violence for the moment. After the meeting we was over we were off the aquard company of adventures decided to go by horse instead of water since most of us had horses so rode on to the pyramid of chaos! The first attack went real smoothly and not much injuries but it was the second encounter when we arrived near the pyrimid is when the adventuring group started to break down. It all started when a unseen Druid confused our group for the dragon cultist reenforcments and after the Bane knight heard in elven the accusation and grabbed one of the rangers attacking the evocation mage decided to flush out the unseen Druid by burning the area she was in this did not set well with the other barbarian and he attacked the mage for it and knocked him back in besker mode while this was going on the other necromancer who didn't like the barbarian eithor stated that she would aid the other mage if the barbarian attacked again the fight endured for bit until the Bane knight who had enough of the Druid and party fighting stepped in again and broke it up. While this was happening the other barbarian the friend to the Bane knight had to brought back after heading back to the boats and also retrieving the other barbarian from being under a command spell from the necromancer. To not spoil anything else this shenanigans happend a few more time in the pyrimid. I must say while everyone stayed in character and did just what that character would do it felt like a real story of strangers being hired to do a deed from a desperated piont of view from different walks of life. Kinda movie like with ups and downs and cliff hanger moments and inner turmoils and finally resolution. By the way the mission was successful and know died or got transformed. So what are your views or any similar stories |

Sounds like everyone had fun, and that's what really matters. Be aware that other DMs might not allow PVP, deeming it disruptive behavior. I outright forbid it, and it's one of the first things I tell players who haven't sat at my table before.

AL modules have more wiggle room to give each other a hard time, or less-than-full cooperation.
The best stories come when two characters have divergent goals, or see different ways to accomplish some task. My favorite: In combat, Drow Assassin accidentally drops a flask of alcohol; Druid picks it up and hides it on her person. When the Drow came back looking for it, innocent poses all around. Eventually I gave the game away because of the constraints of IRL time - by using Thieves Cant.
