What year does the new Adventurers League season take place?

What year does the new Adventures League season begin in?  I'm trying to read about Forgotten Realms history to give my character some backround / flavor and I need to know when this story takes place.

No offense but if you are lookin for normal story flow and time mechanics in a game, you dont look at Organised Play campaigns considering you can join at part 2 of a 3 parter in some and play part 1 years later in real time.

I should also point out that the survivors of Phlan took the long circuitous land-bound route from Phlan to Mulmaster, travelling 2/3 of the way around the Moonsea in the process.

 

As indicated above, several detours are likely to have been made to avoid obstacles, or to secure food/shelter. Given the time of year, the survivors would have also had to secure shelter for the winter -most likely in Hillsfar or Elventree. They also likely stayed a week or two in each major community enroute (in order to gather supplies, replenish horses, etc). 

 

I highly doubt those communities welcomed the refugees with open arms, resulting in them eventually pushing on. Likewise, I highly doubt the survivors had enough coin to purchase (or rent) several galleons in order to shorten their trip, making the entire trip overland.

What is wrong with you people....??!!??   It was clearly a joke based on the fact that AL lets characters leave HotDQ and play Expeditions, and then go back. Despite the fact they the occur 1500 miles apart.

 

Response is multiple paragraphs tryiing to make sense of it...???
