| #1MasterNamerApr 10, 2015 8:18:56 | There was a recent faq posted on the adventurers league page which mentions using the rarities listed in the DMG or DM Basic Rules rather than the printed ones if they differ. Are there so many incorrect rarities listed that this clarification was needed? |

| #3Coredump00Apr 10, 2015 10:27:44 | I have only heard of one, and I can't even remember which one it was....

Even if it only happened once, wording it this way means that they won't have to repeat themselves if it happens again in a later season. The only thing that I would like to see added is a list of the affected certs, so future DMs have the information in a centralized location should the faulty certs remain trade-eligible years down the road. There's no reasonable expectation that a DM who joins the AL in Season 7 should have preexisting knowledge of every faulty cert from Seasons 1-6. Responsibility to provide such information should lie much higher up the chain of command with those of greater organizational oversight. Just because the is a volunteer-run organization, that doesn't excuse those in management from their duty to make sure that the people they oversee have all of the necessary resources to perform their task in the most effective and efficient manner possible. It's not a principle that is exclusive to the business world, but can be found in any text on basic organizational management.
I totally get that they're attempting to create a more flexible and inclusive program. I just really feel that there a few areas where the flexible approach has become problematic, the biggest of such problems being the information distribution infrastructure. Between the problems with the launch of Season 2 documents, the faulty certs, and Mulmaster thread, it's abundantly clear that there are still plenty of kinks to be worked out in the system. To prove that I'm a man of action and not just a generic avatar venting frustrations, I welcome any of the AL staff to see this statement as a declaration of intent and open offer of a free consultation to go over these issues from a professional perspective. My qualifications come from my management degree from the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management and a career of working for more new businesses than old. They've given me plenty of insight to the common issues that plague most organizations during their infancy, although I'm also willing to submit my resume and references to back up those claims.
