#1 Haer Aug 18, 2014 0:43:53	I've been toying with the idea of a fire focused way of the four elements elemental monk from the Flamewalkers of Kossuth Order but when looking around the factions I'm finding it a bit tricky to pick one to fit in. OoG is focused on justice - while lawful the monk would be more centered around discipline and self betterment than anything else so that's out, EE are against elemental lords so that's out straight away. LA and Zhents are both too political for my monk though I could see how either of them could emply him as an enforcer. Harpers are a non fit as well - church of Kossuth promotes survival of the fittest so if the poor and weak can't help themselves there is no point in helping them. So yeah, would you kind folks suggest he stays factionless, joins Zhents or LA?

It may be that this flamewalker (in his past, or background, maybe his enemy) is owed a favor and is part of the Zhentarim or something and you are paying off a debt. You would still be counted as being in faction, even if your character doesn't see it that way. Maybe they have a lot of blackmail on you or are holding loved ones hostage so you work for them as an agent. Each of these things doesn't limit your options in an adventure and makes for some really interesting roleplay opportunities.
